Cheesecake Brownie Recipe – Lemon Cheesecake Brownie

Here's a uniqe brownie that's got a surprise lemon cheese filling.

1 package devils food cake mix

1/2 cup margarine, softened

1 egg

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 13×9-inch pan. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, margarine, and egg. Mix at low speed until combined. Stir in walnuts. Reserve 1 1/2 cup for topping. Set aside.

Press remaining mixture in bottom of greased pan.

Bake for 10 minutes. Cool 5 minutes.

Lemon Filling

8 oz. package cream cheese, softened

14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1 tablespoon graated lemon peel

1 egg

Beat cream cheese in medium bowl until light and fluffy. Add remaining filling ingredients and beat at medium speed until smooth. Pour evenly over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with reserved topping.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.

How can you resist brownies topped with a cheesecake topping? You can not, so go ahead and enjoy to your heart's content.

1 (12 oz.) Package semisweet chocolate, divided

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup butter, softened

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup all-purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt over hot (not boiling) water, 1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate; stir until smooth. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine sugar and butter; beat until creamy. Add eggs, vanilla extract and salt; mix well. Add melted morsels and flour; mix well. Spread into foil lined 9-inch square baking pan.

Cheesecake Topping

1 (8 oz.) Package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sugar

2 tablespoon butter, softened

2 eggs

2 tablespoon milk

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and butter; beat until creamy. Add eggs, milk flour and almond extract; beat well. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate.

Pour over brownies. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Cool completely; cut into 2 1/2 inch squares.

1 (21.5 oz.) Package brownie mix

2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon lemon extract (optional)

1 egg

1 (14 oz.) Can sweetened condensed milk

1 (8 oz.) Package cream cheese, softened

1 (21 oz.) Can cherry pie filling

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Prepare brownie mix as directed on package, except bake for 20 minutes.

Beat vanilla, egg, milk, and cream cheese in large bowl until smooth. Pour slowly over baked brownie layer. Continue baking until topping is set, an extra 25 minutes. Cool 2 hours. Spread with pie filling.

Cut into 1 1/2 inch or 2 inch squares. Store in refrigerator. Makes 24 large or 48 small brownies.

Variation: cut into 1 1/2 squares. Put into cupcake paper, then spoon pie filling on top of brownies.
