Shole Zard (A Delicious Dessert from Iran)


200 g rice /

2 liters water /

225 g sugar /

1 tsp saffron threads /

60 ml oil (or melted butter) 60 ml rosewater /

cinnamon powder /

30 g slivered almonds /

chopped pistachios

Preparation: Place rice in a pan with 2 liters of water and bring to the boil. Stir occasionally. After approximately 20-25 minutes, add the sugar and continue stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens slightly. After another 20-25 minutes, dissolve the saffron in hot water and add to the pan. Pour the oil (or melted butter) into the pan, followed by the rose water. At this point, the Shole Zard is almost ready. Now add the almonds. Pour the contents of the pan into a bowl and set aside to cool. Use cinnamon, pistachios and almonds to decorate the dish.

大米200克,水2升,白糖225克,藏红花一茶匙,黄油60克,玫瑰水60毫升,肉桂 ,切碎的杏仁30克,切碎的开心果.

制作方法:先将大米放入有2升水的锅里,轻轻搅拌,约20-25分钟后,加入白 糖,继续搅拌,直到混合物稍浓些,20-25分钟过后,将红花放入开水中,并加 入锅内,油(或是融化的黄油)和玫瑰水倒入锅里,这时候黄米粥也就差不多准 备好了。锅里的材料放入一个小碗中,放冷,再使用肉桂和坚果粉装饰器皿。
